    Wererabbits!
All hail Wallace and Gromit - took David along to the cinema tonight to see the latest adventure involving the cheese-loving Wallace and his faithful friend. Have to say, I thoroughly enjoyed it. Especially the bits they put in, thinking that the children won't notice or understand - yeah right *wink*.
There's a funny thing that happens on the way in though, which renders me totally able to eat a whole bag of revels (family sized, if you don't mind)...........that's surely not a good thing.

    Somehow it's all ok.
My sister's gravestone is in place, she'd have liked it.
Her ashes were buried only a few gravestones along from mum and dad, and although it may be a strange sort of comfort, I can imagine them all chatting away together.

And I got a hug from David today, in a public place, when one of his friends was with us - 'kinnell!!!!

Don't worry, normal service was resumed shortly afterwards!

    18?
My nephew, Matthew, is 18, how did that happen? Seems not that long ago he was just a wee boy *sigh*

A day full of hapiness and hope that was (understandably) tinged with sadness.

AND SO!!!!!!!!!! I'm off with FP and a whole host of other MAd people to see if we can get the good folks of Inverness to get jiggy - it's gonna be a fun weekend *g,bg,H*

Oh! Did I forget to mention that La Senza have a sale at the moment *s* - a fact that the man in the newspaper shop (where I went to buy a drink as it was so bloomin' hot in the town yesterday) picked up on when he was taking my money. *s* Not that he ever goes in, you understand - yeah right!

    Incredible
Went to a birthday party last night - Lorna, Ceroc Teacher from Aberdeen and Dundee. What a great night, a mixture of muggles and cerocers all in various
    *film star* outfits.

Bit of a nightmare getting there though, trusted my Tom Tom to direct me via the fastest route, which for me meant going all the back roads, to get to the very fast dual-carriage way means another 7 mile journey first ..........Unfortunately there is a major reconstruction of one of the main roads involved and so it kept asking me to turn up roads which then turned out to be closed (and of course, you only find this out once you're half way up the bloomin' thing and run out of houses)........aaaaaaarrrrrrgh!!

And the increase in tractor usage of said back roads wasn't Tom Tom's fault, I guess *sheesh*.

Still, got there only half an hour later than I'd hoped, and managed at least two dances in my Mrs Incredible high heeled boots before they were abandoned for the dance shoes..................anyone wishing pics can go to the Ceroc Scotland Forum (mainly for you Em as you'll know more than a few of the people).

And now breakfast - I'm starving!

    T in the Park
Paul's just gone off to T in the Park - amidst cries of "Make sure you eat something sensible at least once today" "Have you got enough sunscreen?" "And when I said make sure you drink plenty, I mean water..........."

Gawd, I hope he has an absolue blast!

I also hope that he comes back home safe and sound.

Bloomin' hard this balancing act stuff - parenting, don't ya just love it?

    Parcels
Don't you just love getting parcels?

I've actually even forgiven the postman for waking me up at 7.09am to deliver it - actually, suitable enough punishment for him to have to try to converse with me at that time of the morning. And in my parcel were two new hats - hee hee, totally fab! And the most incredible pair of wedge shoes, oh yeah, and two tops and the most important thing - a pair of earrings, a la tinkerbell, for Janet (who loves all things Tinkified). In truth I should only have ordered the earrings but needed to spend a little more to take advantage of the free postage offer ( well, you've got to don't you? )

And bloody hell - Maxwell not Science? That was a shock!

    A Wee Mouse
I got a new toy yesterday. Fabby do teeny weeny little mouse with a retractable tail. Just the very thing for my powerbook :D
It's majorly cool for such a little object and only cost £15 from Tesco (yeah I remember when all Tesco actually sold was food!)
Fits perfectly into the side of the computer bag and is sufficiently dinky to be a cool toy for a girl. Just a shame they didn't do it in pink.........
and tonight I was dj-ing at the Invercarse and decided to play that bloomin' Tina Arena song because Barbara always asks for it (I've resisted for soooooo long but decided to give in) . Barbara wasn't even there but it would seem that it's a poplular choice, 3 people came up and asked about it - wonder if they noticed the tribute to Luther?

Ah well, at least it's done now!
My mother-in-law will be 80 next week, and so she's having a party, Well, she's had it, it was tonight. I'm just back and thankfully, am now in my pjs with a glass of bubbly in my hand.

I've just spent 2 and a half hours sitting in a corner, all of my ex-husbands relations smiled sweetly and then talked to each other. Unfortunately Patrick is out of the country and didn't come to my rescue.
If I hadn't thought Cath would have been hurt, I'd never have gone; but she would have been, she's lovely and she's nearly 80 and so I did.

    A Wee Rant
I've just been out with the dog - and the boy David, but he doesn't require a lead and pooh bags *w*. So here's the thing - I totally appreciate that pooh (however disgusting it is to do) needs picking up and depositing in the pooh bag bin. I'm a responsible dog-owner, I do the needful....................how come the people with horses bloomin' well don't? There's been an entire cavalry here today by the looks of things.

As you were :D just wanted to get that off my chest.

It's a beautiful, beautiful morning - wouldn't have anything to do with the fact that I'm on holiday today, would it?

    A Battle of Wills.
Can someone point me in the direction of the translation from "adult" (and I use the term loosely) English to "teenager" English in which the word BLACK becomes PREDOMINANTLY RED WITH BLACK SURROUND - OK dark red, but it's not black!

However, after scouring the shops - and only the NOT NEDD shops (of which there are surprisingly not that many in Dundee) - and then, of course, going back to the one we went into first, a purchase was made.

The shoes themselves are mighty fine, a point I'm sure Paul will be happy to relate should he get taken to task for wearing them to school. But you know what, despite everything he said this afternoon - they're NOT black!!!!!!!!!

    Coffee!!!!!!
I've just had a coffee mmmmmmmmnn - I like coffee, nice coffee, GOOD coffee.................and one of the best things now is that I CAN, without someone moaning at me for hours about the smell and the mess (what mess?).
I've recently acquired a coffee grinder (thankyou x) and a small coffee making machine (not a brilliant one but we've all got to start somewhere) which I got for free from some company who'd made a big mistake with their "buy anything and we'll give you this" offers *g*
    It's 2 o'clock now - maybe I could have another one?

    So so pretty.
I drove home tonight through a Christmas card scene - I love snow - it's beautiful, especially when it's new and few people have left their tyre tracks in it. I don't love the way that the guy in front of you suddenly decides he can only drive at 4mph but then that's a whole other story.........................plus I found half a packet of munchies that I had forgotten to eat - brilliant!!!!!!!!!

    Training to be a contortionist!!!!!
I have spent the best part of today *doing* things - firstly I decided to put up a new curtain rail, but of course, to do this, the old one had to go - which, of course, meant painting over the marks left in the wall by removal of same *sheesh* ..............so whilst that was drying I decided to finally put away all the Christmas decorations that have were taken down ages ago.
And to do *that* I had to go into the attic.............and there's lots of other stuff that could do with being put in the attic. The only problem is that *I* never used to do the attic thing, wasn't part of my remit *w*, about the only thing that wasn't, but I digress!

Holy Cow!!!!!!! Have you seen the state of that attic? Ah well, there ensued much fun trying to get myself into the bloomin' thing in the first place (past the mountain of boxes and bin bags full of things which had handily been placed just to the side of the hatch), numerous bangs on the head and many funny positions trying to ensure that my feet were firmly on the joists and not the ceiling (nope, it never was floored, bugger!)
Anyway - I think it needs another few hours (and a skip - the big metal kind that is). Amazing the stuff that's in there - my children are 9 and 15, don't think there's much call for aged 12 months popper vests, a step for the bathroom and a booster cushion *g*.

However, a few bruises later, I managed to get the curtain rail sorted (and it's straight too - well, it looks straight to me) - so I am feeling quite smug, especially as I did not have the drill, the spirit level or the helper as was suggested ON THE INSIDE of the packaging.

I've done Tesco, cooked tea and am looking at the pile of ironing, whislt wondering if only doing what we need tomorrow would be acceptable. Feet up with a drink, watching ER sounds more like a plan.

Almost forgot, and it's hard to type when you're giggling............
on the way home from dancing last night we (that's yours truly, Franck and Steven) stopped at a petrol station for a coffee/quick bite and a post party chat. We had a great laugh with the girl who was working there.
Apparently (according to those who have knowledge of such things) she had the hots for one of us, bless her heart................*rofl rofl*
